Saladin vs. Baldwin the Leper King - Battle of Montgisard, 1177

It's November 25, the anniversary of the Battle of Montgisard in 1177. On this day, 844 years ago, Baldwin the Leper King, leading a small crusader army, crushed an enormous army led by Saladin near the city of Ramla. The charge of a small line of Knights Templar, against large ranks of Saracen cavalry, was a key element in this victory.
