Forging a [Viking] Seax from Blister Steel - Feat Valkyrik Soundtrack

#vikingseax #valkyrik #bladesmith Forging a [Viking] Seax from Blister Steel - Feat Valkyrik Soundtrack. We make high carbon steel from pure iron bar by carburizing the iron. This material is known as blister steel or sheer steel. We then layer up the sheer steel with iron and make our Viking twister bars for the body of the seax. The edge of the seax is made from high carbon bloom steel. The Viking themed handle fittings are made using chasing and repousse in fine silver and they are fitting on a bog oak handle. We use as many traditional materials and traditional blacksmithing techniques to create this blade from a 1000 years ago. This is not an over the top Assassin's Creed style Viking item. This is as close as we can get to what one may have looked like.
